Hey, it's Geb from Email Rev Lab!
At 1:01 AM, I signed up for Femibion's email list on VicNic.com.
Got a green checkmark. "Thanks for subscribing." That's it.
By 1:15 AM, still nothing in my inbox. Fourteen minutes of silence.
That's not a delay. That's a leak.

The Brand:
Femibion launched in 1995 under Merck KGaA, one of the world's oldest pharma companies (founded 1668). P&G acquired the brand in 2018. They built patented Metafolin technology. It's the only bioactive folate your body absorbs directly. No conversion needed.
That's real science. Trusted by gynecologists. Used by women at one of the most vulnerable and research-heavy moments of their lives.
But science in the product doesn't fix silence in the inbox. When a woman planning a pregnancy signs up, she's ready to trust you. A 14-minute gap (or no email at all) says you're not ready to trust her back.
The Pop-up Test:

The pop-up VicNic show isn't a lead capture. It's a location/language selector. No discount. No offer. No reason to give an email.
A brand this trusted is leaving a major conversion tool completely unused.
The Sign-up Test:

The email form is buried in the footer. "Join the club." No benefit. No hook.
These women want phase-by-phase guidance. The form gives them nothing.
The Tech Test:
Signed up at 1:01 AM. No email at 1:15 AM. Minimum 14-minute delay, possibly never arriving.
That alone is the bottleneck. No welcome email means no conversion, no trust-building, no sale.
The Fix (Klaviyo, 3 steps):
Set the welcome flow trigger to "Subscribed to List" with a 0-minute send delay. Not 5 minutes. Zero.
Rewrite the footer form. "Join the club" tells them nothing. Try: "Get the right nutrients for every stage. We'll send you exactly what to take and when." Add a free pregnancy nutrition guide as a lead magnet.
Build a 3-email welcome sequence.
Email 1: Deliver the lead magnet immediately.
Email 2 (Day 2): Educate on Metafolin vs. regular folic acid.
Email 3 (Day 4): Introduce the phase-based product system.
A delayed welcome email converts at 0.94%. A real-time one converts at 4.01%. That's 327% more revenue sitting on the table, per Invesp data. And that assumes an email arrives at all.
Here's what I'm curious about: how many women signed up on VicNic this week and never heard back?
Femibion's science earns trust in the product. Their email system needs to earn a place in the inbox.
I send these audits daily because bottlenecks like this can be fixed in one day with the right information.
Want me to audit your Klaviyo account the same way?
Reply to this email, and I'll send you a free breakdown of where your welcome series is leaking revenue.
