Hey, it's Geb from Email Rev Lab!
At 8:28 pm, I told Lumen exactly what I wanted. Mental clarity. That was my answer when their pop-up asked about my health goal.
I typed in my email. I waited for the insights they promised.
Nothing came. Not at 8:30. Not at 8:45.
By 8:36 pm, I was back at their footer, signing up again. Maybe the first one glitched.
It's 9:27 pm now. I checked Primary. I checked Promotions. I even checked Spam.
Still nothing.

The Science Doesn't Match the System
Lumen built its whole brand on precision. Twin sisters with PhDs in physiology, both Ironman finishers, built this company to turn a single breath into real time metabolic data.
That's the promise. Breathe in. Get an answer in seconds.
But ask for their "free insights," and you wait an hour for silence. The device is fast. The email system isn't.
The Pop-up Test:

Their quiz asks a smart question. What's your goal? Fitness, weight loss, energy, clarity, or sleep.
I picked Mental Clarity. The next screen mirrored it back to me. "Struggling to maintain focus throughout the day?" Good copy. Real personalization.
Then I submitted my email and landed on a generic weight loss checkout page. Three pricing tiers. Zero mention of focus or clarity.
They asked the right question. Then threw the answer away.
The Tech Test:
This is the real problem. No welcome email arrived after the first signup. None after the second either.
Two attempts. Zero emails. Almost 60 minutes and counting.
The Inbox Test:
Can't judge subject lines or placement here. There's nothing to judge. The email never sent.
Invesp's research puts real time welcome emails at a 4.01 percent conversion rate. Miss that window, and it drops to 0.94 percent. Their data also shows 74 percent of people expect that email the moment they hit subscribe.
Here's what I'm curious about: how many people gave Lumen their email tonight and never came back to check twice, like I did?
Lumen spent years perfecting real time data from a single breath. Their welcome flow deserves that same speed.
The Fix:
Check your Klaviyo flow filters. A "profile property is not set" or double opt-in confirmation filter can silently block sends.
Test your signup form end to end today, in an incognito window, on the exact domain customers use.
Route each quiz answer into its own flow branch, so someone who picks Mental Clarity keeps getting Mental Clarity messaging all the way to checkout.
I send these audits daily because bottlenecks like this can be fixed in one day with the right information.
Want me to audit your Klaviyo account the same way?
Reply to this email, and I'll send you a free breakdown of where your welcome series is leaking revenue.
